Waiting on Wednesday (5)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Breaking the Spine that spotlights those upcoming releases we’re anticipating

This week’s book is *drum roll*:

28243032

We Are Okay by Nina LaCour – February 14th
Goodreads

I still have not read any of Nina LaCour’s books, and she has a few that appeal to me: Everything Leads To You, The Disenchantments and You Know Me Well (co-written with David Levithan). She also wrote a story for the Summer Days and Summer Nights anthology. Next year, she has another anthology coming out, titles Meet Cute.

We Are Okay is another one that sounds amazing (and has an equally awesome cover), and to prove it, I have copied the synopsis from Goodreads:

“You go through life thinking there’s so much you need. . . . Until you leave with only your phone, your wallet, and a picture of your mother.”

Marin hasn’t spoken to anyone from her old life since the day she left everything behind. No one knows the truth about those final weeks. Not even her best friend Mabel. But even thousands of miles away from the California coast, at college in New York, Marin still feels the pull of the life and tragedy she’s tried to outrun. Now, months later, alone in an emptied dorm for winter break, Marin waits. Mabel is coming to visit and Marin will be forced to face everything that’s been left unsaid and finally confront the loneliness that has made a home in her heart.

Have you read any of her books? Which one do you reacommend? Do you also want to read We Are Okay? What was your pick for today’s WoW?
