Waiting on Wednesday (7)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Breaking the Spine that spotlights those upcoming releases we’re anticipating

This week’s book is *drum roll*:

Daughter Of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller – February 28th

I have briefly talked about this book on my first TTT on the blog: 2017 Debuts I’m Excited For. Basically, I need this book. It just sounds soooooooooo cool. Our main character, Alosa, gets captured by her enemies. On purpose. As part of her plan. How intriguing is that? Being locked up in a hostile ship surely invites for a lot of action, adventure and treachery. And badassery on Alosa’s part. Oh, haven’t I mentioned it? Alosa is a freaking pirate! This is a book about pirates, yay!

A 17-year-old pirate captain intentionally allows herself to get captured by enemy pirates in this thrilling YA adventure.

Sent on a mission to retrieve an ancient hidden map—the key to a legendary treasure trove—seventeen-year-old pirate captain Alosa deliberately allows herself to be captured by her enemies, giving her the perfect opportunity to search their ship.

More than a match for the ruthless pirate crew, Alosa has only one thing standing between her and the map: her captor, the unexpectedly clever and unfairly attractive first mate, Riden. But not to worry, for Alosa has a few tricks up her sleeve, and no lone pirate can stop the Daughter of the Pirate King.

What’s on your WoW? Are you also excited to read this book? Have you read any other book about pirates?
